Today I am writing my 101st post...wow that's a lot of writing! Thank you so much if you are a follower, I hope I have entertained you enough to stay with me for the next 101 posts!
It has also been a very productive weekend on the sewing front. I made 3 blocks for a quilt I am working on for a publication, but unfortunately I can't share any pictures with you, which I am gutted about because I am really pleased with them and I just love the fabrics I am working with.
This week the gorgeous Out to Sea fabrics by Sarah Jane arrived, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. I do eventually plan to make a cot quilt with them, but for now, I decided to make a little blanket for my daughter's new canine friend Patch;
And so you can see better...
The white basket is a new purchase too, and so now Patch, basket and blanket sit proudly at the bottom of my daughter's bed.
Does anyone else make quilts/blankets for cuddly toys, or is it just me??!!
I love that Out to Sea line and am wanting some big time. Love the wee quilt you made so far, and can't wait to see what follows.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 101 posts! I love your blog and seeing what you're up to! I'm looking forward to the next 100 posts!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on passing the 100 mark:-) I love the little quilt and basket - it's not just you, the first quilts I made were for "Rabbit" and "Ollie"!
ReplyDeleteLoving the fabric - I've been watching that line with interest, looks just perfect with Patch :) I've always made bedding for my children's toys - even the tiniest covers, mattresses and pillows for doll's house furniture. I love seeing you doing the same :)
ReplyDeleteGreat fabric range. Patch looks so happy with his new blanket - I'm sure Freya will be just as happy too.
ReplyDeleteCute little quilt. Yes, I make little toy quilts some times - my DD's always appreciate them, but are now old enough to make their own simple ones with some help - always wise to have a few charm squares lying around in order to satisfy sudden sewing urges of theirs!
ReplyDeleteLovely little blanket. The dolls and toys in this house have so many quilts, they are often buried under them!
ReplyDeleteThe perfect post for a *dalmation*!
ReplyDeleteGreat fabrics and I love that basket.
Lucky pup!
Lucky toys! X
